Landscape was started in Brooklyn, NY in 2015 by Eric Pitra. Our first instrument, the HC-TT, was a response to Eric's wish for a more human connection to tape manipulation. All of Landscape's instruments aim to provide a direct human connection to audio, taking inspiration from natural auditory and aesthetic phenomena including weather, plants and animal life. This team of sweethearts creates things they truly want to make. While instrument components are sourced from various locations in the United States and internationally, most of the assembly is done in Brooklyn , where we welcome visitors seasonally during open studios.
